Andrea is a renowned human capital consultant helping a myriad of organizations design and execute critical business and HR programs that identify and leverage innovative talent and leadership. Her areas of expertise include career transition/outplacement, leadership development, change management, employee engagement, and inclusive practices and leadership. She is a published author, distinguished speaker, an acclaimed career and business coach and a Certified Diversity Search Professional. She serves as a career management coach of prestigious organizations like Diversity Women Media, and the Urban League, and Unlimited Fighting Championship (UFC).
She is currently the Vice President of Sales Enablement at Challenger, Gray and Christmas, Inc., where she is responsible for leading the company’s overall sales and recruitment strategy. One of her greatest contributions has been spearheading the Diversity, Inclusion, Equity and Belonging Initiative where - along with executive leaders – she determines the best way to manage the business and the human side of the company to create a thriving culture where employees feel they can be authentic and supported by senior leaders.
For over two decades, she has developed a strong track record of successful HR programs that align with public and private Fortune 500 companies’ strategic business objectives. She launched her career at Plateau Systems (now SuccessFactors) in 1999 as an Executive Assistant where she quickly identified the need and opportunity to establish an official Human Resource Department and later a Sales, Marketing and Professional Services Department. A few years later, beginning in 2008, she served as Market and Account Service Manager at Lee Hecht Harrison. Over the next decade, she took on positions of increasing responsibility, including Account Manager, Vice President, and later Senior Vice President of Business Development. Her work ethic and determination are a testament that her commitment to human capital and resources result in stronger collaborations and increased effectiveness in meeting the business goals and priorities of some of the leading HR consulting firms worldwide.
As if she was not busy enough, Andrea is also an avid entrepreneur. She is the founder of two successful companies: Unique Transport LLC and Unique Transport 2 LLC – a duo of minority, micro and woman-owned trucking companies; and the sole proprietor and operator of Grant Consulting Group LLC – an employment and entrepreneurship-consulting firm. In 2008, she also founded CCAA Events, a six-figure event and entertainment management business that catered to high-profile clients including professional athletes and politicians.
Andrea is a devoted special needs parent and caregiver to her disabled veteran father and “giving back” to others is at the core of her being. She has often donated her time and expertise to organizations such as Adecco’s National Corporate Social Responsibility Council, LHH’s Global Diversity Councils, the Human Resources Leadership Awards of Greater Washington (HRLA), and the Prince William Chamber. Moreover, she is an inaugural founder and member of Capital One’s Magellan Program, a customized leadership development and career program for African American colleagues. She recently served as Vice President of Administration for the National Association of African Americans in Human Resources (NAAAHR) Greater Baltimore Chapter.
